Why do I put off writing my blog? Because I'm running a race that includes: packing,
cleaning, and preparing to move to Idaho.
Scott has done what he is able to, but his employment JUST rolled out a
new system and he’s been putting in 70 hour work weeks and was even in Utah for
a week to help out. So I’ve been dealing
with workers in and out of our home by myself.
The good news is that our home SHOULD be on the market next week.
Here are the happenings behind the scenes:
My eldest son is a year older! They celebrated with homemade
sushi with friends and a hike with the family gang in Rexburg. Scott and I celebrated by sending him a
present and singing to him in our harmonious way. (Ha! Ha! Ha!)
Happy Birthday, Cody!
Yumm!
Typical Cody smile... Ha! Ha! Ha!
The whole gang!
(Katia, Shanae, Skylar, Cody with Skittles on Skylar's shoulders, and Kiara taking the photo)
Skittles said he loved hiking on Uncle Skylar's shoulders!
He wants to go again!
I love these crazy kids! I claim them all!
When Scott was in Utah, he was able to go to the temple with
our nephew, Landon, who took out his endowment in order to serve a mission.
He felt the tender mercies from our Heavenly
Father that he was able to attend.
He
also was glad he got to spend an evening with his brother, Kevin, and
Valerie.
(Although he didn’t take a
photo for me.)
Landon is in the orange tie.
Scott's sister, Stacey, was so glad that Scott made it to the temple.
So proud of our nephew!
Wish I could have been there too!
I’ve been taking selfies with people I know my daughters
love and want to remember… So far, I’ve seen Abbie (who has graced this blog
with her presence MANY times in the past) and Celeste (whom Katia calls a “kindred
spirit.”)

One of our YSA’s finally tied the knot.
Travis and Rebecca got married two weeks ago.
I loved the dinosaurs in the decorations.
I had to share:
One of my best friends here in Kentucky is Wilma
Armstrong.
She passed away this
week.
I was able to help with the
funeral a bit by taking charge of the music.
It was a lovely memorial.
And I
can’t wait to see MY Wilma again someday.

Saturday Kiara, Cody, and Shanae ran the Teton Dam
Race.
Kiara and Shanae ran the 5K.
Cody ran the marathon.
They all had personal records (Kiara and Shanae
= 48:32 and Cody = 3:33:04). And I’m soooo proud of them!

Cody "forgot" to take a picture for me of the race...
So this is an older picture from one of his runs.
And after the race/showers they modeled their medals for me.
Red Skittle thinks he participated too since he "ran" the whole race in his stroller.
And then some random photos:
I did this as a kid all the time!
Yummy!
This little baby bunny was too scared to hop away when I took it's photo.
I was right next to it.
Isn't he cute?!
This is where I'm moving too.
This is a picture from my sister's flower garden.
And my sister... I can't wait until we are living closer!
Flowers for mommy!
I don't know?! But he's adorable!
