ANOTHER KIDNAPPING

I've always wanted a BIG family!  I LOVE my two beautiful daughters... but I wouldn't mind having more children.  So kidnapping other people's kids has been an ideal way to have more kids - at least for a day!  Today we kidnapped Lollipop.  She is one of our newest, bestest buddies.  She and her family moved into our ward about a month ago.  And my daughters LOVE her.  She is sweet, kind and lots of fun to be around!  She's also homeschooled (which makes kidnapping on a weekday possible.)
We decided to get a picnic together and go to Salado Wildlife Preserve and go hiking.  Besides walking the trails, we got to see a bald eagle, black bear, bison, elk, deer, snakes, turtles, bobcats, etc.  We had a great time!  And I really like these three beautiful, young women!
My cute, little chicks!  :-)

Key Lime Pie is the oldest... but the shortest.
She wanted to be the tallest, but Lollipop still looks taller in this pic....
Finally - Key Lime Pie is taller than the other two girls....
The girls made sure we didn't get lost on our hike....
It's good that they didn't leave the map skills to me!
Aren't they gorgeous?
I really like these girls!
They are very photogenic.
"Oooooh  look!"  I have no clue what they saw.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm!  Lunch!

KIDNAPPING, FLOWERS, EGG HUNTS AND EASTER SKIRTS

My cute girls...
Lately we have been having fun "kidnapping" my friends children for a day.  We love having fun, one on one, with her cute kids.  Friday was Apple Pie's turn.  We made cookies and delivered them to friends.  We watched a movie of his choice.  And we ate DQ blizzards.  Mmmmmm!  When we asked him if he had fun, he said, "It was quiet and peaceful.  Can you kidnap me again on another Friday?"  I guess that means he had a good time!

A week ago I was having a day where I felt a little down.  (Yes, I am human and have days where I feel a bit discouraged.)  My sweet, wonderful husband brought me flowers.  Aren't they gorgeous?  I felt sooooooo loved!
Saturday we celebrated Easter with the Bettenhausens and Dasguptas.  It was TONS of fun.  My daughters had fun hiding eggs and helping the younger ones hunt them.  Then Scott BBQed hot-dogs and hamburgers.  We had a great time!
Sisters!  Sisters!  There were never such devoted sisters!
The Easter Bunny brought these matching shirts.

"Look!  Alot!"
Amy likes hunting for eggs as much as the kids!
The "I Found One" dance! - This is one reason I love Amy!

Sunday was Easter.  Kotten Kandy made us matching skirts.  (Thanks, daughter!)  I love matching with my two GORGEOUS daughters.  They are pretty inside and out!  :-)
Easter Sunday
I love celebrating the resurrection of Christ.  I KNOW He lives!  I love the Atonement!  I'm grateful for His sacrifice!  At Church we sang "I Know That My Redeemer Lives."  That song perfectly expresses how I feel about my Savior:

  1. I know that my Redeemer lives.
What comfort this sweet sentence gives!
He lives, he lives, who once was dead.
    He lives, my ever-living Head.
He lives to bless me with his love.
He lives to plead for me above.
He lives my hungry soul to feed.
He lives to bless in time of need.
  2. He lives to grant me rich supply.
He lives to guide me with his eye.
He lives to comfort me when faint.
He lives to hear my soul's complaint.
He lives to silence all my fears.
He lives to wipe away my tears.
He lives to calm my troubled heart.
He lives all blessings to impart.
  3. He lives, my kind, wise heav'nly Friend.
He lives and loves me to the end.
He lives, and while he lives, I'll sing.
He lives, my Prophet, Priest, and King.
He lives and grants me daily breath.
He lives, and I shall conquer death.
He lives my mansion to prepare.
He lives to bring me safely there.
  4. He lives! All glory to his name!
He lives, my Savior, still the same.
Oh, sweet the joy this sentence gives:
"I know that my Redeemer lives!"
He lives! All glory to his name!
He lives, my Savior, still the same.
Oh, sweet the joy this sentence gives:
"I know that my Redeemer lives!"
