Do you remember the 80s song by TLC, "Don't Go Chasing Waterfalls"? Well... we did not take their advice. We decided we wanted to see ALL the waterfalls we could in the space of two days. We started in Tennessee.
Best Friends Forever!
At Burgess Falls we saw 3 different falls. All were lovely!Humble...
God's beauty persists...
While the hanging bridge crumbled.
Splendid
We were there!
Then we went to Fall Creek Falls (which was a 256 foot drop, and the highest waterfall east of the Rocky Mountains.) The hike was extremely strenuous (lots of rocks and very steep) but we made it to the bottom of the falls. Lovely
Spectacular
Stunning - both Scott and the rocks!
We also saw Ozone Falls.... Hanging bridges are scary to me... but I crossed both of them. The smoky mountains!
I couldn't believe that was humidity and not smoke.
Incredible!
Shaky
Silo
Bear rug
Wonder
God loves green!
Wow!
And we finished day 2 in the pouring rain with my favorite fall of the day: Twin Falls. GORGEOUS! God is such a magnificent artist!Resplendent
We took many showers this day.
One in the hotel.
3-4 from the humidity
One from standing under the waterfall.
And this one because it was pouring!
Brilliant
Apparently these vines are sort of a plague.
The grow over EVERYTHING: trees, vehicles, homes, etc.
But I thought they were terrifying and beautiful.
I saw vine giants in every "structure."
I'm sooooo grateful Heavenly Father has created such a magnificent world for us to enjoy. It's hard not to worship God when you are surrounded by His creations! God is good!
The waterfalls truly are magnificent! Hanging Lake is the best in CO, I don't know about them yet here in ID, but the ones you saw on day #2 really are all the adjectives you gave them! Love YOU Both, Mom
