BIRTHDAY BOYZ! - TWO BIRTHDAYS ARE BETTER THAN ONE!

The past week and a half has been such a blessing for Scott and me. We spent the entire week with his family.

We began by attending our niece's wedding reception. I don't know why I didn't take pictures. I guess I was too busy catching up with my wonderful nieces and nephews. It was wonderful to see them and spend an evening with them.

Scott and I got to go to the Layton Temple open house. And we also went to the new St. George Temple.

Beautiful!
St. George is gorgeous!
We enjoyed hanging out with mom, dad, and Stacey all week. We visited. Laughed. Made (and ate) delicious food. Watched old movies. And the highlight was the double birthday party celebrating my handsome husband and his 80 year old father! All of Scott's siblings were able to come for the party! It was great (and a bit emotional) to all be together.

Yes, Pink Box Donuts are AMAZING!
Happy 51st Birthday, Scott!

Getting dad to make a happy face was difficult. He's sooo silly!

Mom saw this incredible rainbow cloud.
It was GORGEOUS! This picture doesn't do it justice.
In other news, I got to work at the preliminary election polls two weeks ago:

And we have GORGEOUS flowers (roses) blooming at our house:

And our daughters are happy too:

DeGOOYER DAY - YEAR 2024

Every year I blog about one of my favorite holidays: DeGooyer Day! And last Saturday we celebrated! I love spending time with our daughters and their husbands and Red Skittle. DeGooyer Day is significantly better with Cody, Skylar and our grandson involved. Check out our fun tradition:

I'm so grateful we have this fun tradition! And you'll see another DeGooyer Day post every year as long as Scott and I have anything to do with it!

MAY DAY, STAR WARS DAY, AND "MY BIG BAD JOHN" TURNS 5

My grandmother taught me to always celebrate May Day with flowers! So I did! I sent Kiara Lea a plant... the flowers eventually grew and are beautiful, but for some reason I can't download the picture with the blooms. Katia received a bouquet. I love both of my daughters sooooo much! Happy May Day!

Katia Rae and her happy colors.
Skylar and Katia came to Boise to celebrate Star Wars Day (May the 4th - be with you)! We went to see Star Wars I: The Phantom Menace in the theater. It was fun to spend a few hours with these great kids!
And I was trained to work as a poll worker for the upcoming elections. I'm kinda excited about it!
And Katia has a pretty defined baby bump! Can't wait to welcome our sweet little Burnzy!
Amy sent me this adorable picture of Starburst drinking with two straws! I totally am taking credit for that!
Skittles turned 5. (I have a couple of adorable pictures of the event, but, once again, my technology won't let me download the pictures for the blog.)
But I did get a few pictures of Skittles with "his" new puppy, Brin. She loves him and he loves her. Kiara says they are inseparable. "Just a boy and his dog!"
