EVERYONE IN A DIFFERENT STATE

My family was all over the US last week.  While I was spending time in Colorado with my mom and sister, my husband was in Utah helping move a warehouse for work.  My eldest daughter was (and is) in Idaho with her cute husband and Kotten Kandy spent the week in Kentucky at work, and attending Pathway.  Here are the pictures I got:
Scott and John went to help the Utah warehouse move...
Go Kentucky employees!  😉
This was the view from where Scott and the other out-of-towners were staying.
It's hard to get a picture of Chris.
But if you look close, this is him!
Apparently some people needed a little break on their phones.
John worked REALLY hard!
Scott likes the people he works with!
I don't know the back story to this...
But it has to be interesting.
On Sunday, Scott and John toured temple square...
I think John was impressed.
These gorgeous flowers are on top of the conference center....
My FAVORITE flower is the Columbine!
Isn't it delicate and beautiful?
Scott took the flower pictures - because I LOVE them!
Flowers are my favorite creation!
At the end of the week and a half, we got to spend time with Scott's sister and her cute grand children!  These are my nieces-once-removed.  Aren't they adorable?
They sang every word to The Greatest Showman soundtrack.  I was so proud!
And this little guy is ADORABLE!!!!
Kiara worked a lot at the theater with...
her super, fun cousin!
And Kotten Kandy spent time with my BFF and her family!
(She was also really sick and spent time trying to recouperate...)
They also went to Fort Boone...
I missed my family, but they were all taken care of!  Scott took care of himself.  Cody took care of Kiara and Amy watched over my baby.  I'm blessed!  I'm so glad most of us are back together in Kentucky.  (I wish Kiara and Cody were here.)

ALL MOTHERS ARE WORKING MOTHERS

I just spent a WONDERFUL  week with my mom in Colorado.  We played.  And by play, I mean work!  We made 250 wooden bears and over 100 trees, eggs and pumpkins.  We also made 75 chocolate gifts.  While we worked we binge watched When Calls the Heart.  GJ joined us for some of the time.  I really enjoyed spending the week with two of my best friends EVER!  I'm blessed to call them mom and sister!
Selfie Sunday
My Mom and I
GJ - looking amazing!
Mom and I decided to make "glamour" woodworking a thing....
Actually... we didn't look this good while cutting and sanding - but neither of us wanted pictures of what we really looked like covered in sawdust and sweat....
I'm addicted to this show!
It's wonderful!
My mom and my sister think I'm exactly like Rosemary.
(Rosemary is in the middle on the bottom.)
I'm OK with that!
I didn't want this week to end!  It was a needed vacation!

FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS

I love Memorial Day!  And I'm so grateful I could be in Colorado this weekend so I could go visit my grandparents' graves.  (I know Memorial Day is for the dead - and especially for those who served our country and gave their lives - but I also want to mention that my dad is a Veteran too.  And he's also one of my heroes!)  Mom, Dad, GJ and I went to visit the cemetery this evening.  We took flowers.  It was lovely to reminisce and tell stories.  I'm grateful for such wonderful grandparents and role models in my life!
First we visited Grandma T and Grandad....
Grandma T and Grandad both served in the Navy during WWII.
I'm grateful for their service.
What did I learn from Grandma T and Grandad?
Soooo much.
Grandma T was the epitome of charity and good works!
She cared about others and was constantly loving and serving them.
She was also long suffering - since it took Grandad close to 25 years to join the church.
Grandad was bigger than life!
He made everyone feel special by learning names and singing "Happy Birthday" out of tune to them on their birthdays.
He also LOVED God and became a sealer in the temple.  (He married Scott and I!)
I really do LOVE and MISS my Grandma T and Grandad!
They are truly amazing!  And I can't wait to see them again someday!
I didn't know Grandpa Matt McCallister.  He's my great grandfather.
But my dad has TONS of great memories about him!
Grandpa Matt was really good to the Japanese people during WWII.  They loved him because he kept them employed and out of the camps during WWII.  He was a good man!
He also LOVED roses!  (Apparently he even rolled out on his chair when he was really old just to take care of his precious roses!  His garden was immaculate!)
I can't wait to meet him someday as well!
I'm blessed with a great posterity!  I should write more about my ancestors...  I love them all!!!!

OUR GROWING BOY

I have been SUPER busy this week... and I can't wait to share on my blog... soon... all about it.
But I can't let today pass without announcing that our baby boy is officially 252 months old today and 73 inches long.  It seems like only yesterday that he came into our lives!  He has an amazing smile and he makes us laugh often.  I can't believe how quickly he has grown.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Cody!
We love you so much!  And are so grateful you are part of our family!

THINGS THAT MAKE US HAPPY - SHOW CHOIR 2018

"MY" KIDS!
I LOVE what I do!  And I LOVE sharing music!
We have too much fun making music!
Our theme for Show Choir this semester was "Things That Make Us Happy!"  We sang songs about learning, playing air guitars, eating pasta, friendship, funny words, families and dancing!  And after the program I was surprised by TONS of flowers!  (I LOVE flowers too!)  I felt so loved and appreciated!  And I hope these kids know how much I love them too!
SURPRISE!
Aren't these gorgeous!
I couldn't be more excited!  I LOVE the colors... the smells... the beauty!
These are some random action shots of the program:

We've got fun!

MAKING MUSIC - SPRING RECITAL 2018

I get to work with AMAZING kids!  These kids are so talented and wonderful!  And I am blessed to share music with them!
One of my favorite quotes is:  "Some people dream of meeting their favorite musicians.  I teach mine!"  I really do love these guys!
This year I had an incentive program - and kids who really worked hard earned these shirts:
The shirts say: The BEST players are on the BENCH
One of my students is moving-on.  She has been taking lessons with me for about 7 years.  I TRULY love this girl!  Her talent is awesome!  And her sweet personality is contagious!  I will really miss her!  And I'm exciting for her to go on to GREAT things!  She's planning on pursuing music more aggressively.
Scott got pictures of lots of my students performing....
I did a lot more accompanying and playing duets this recital.  It was fun!  I really am blessed!
