LIVE AND IN CONCERT

We got to go to a Brad Paisley concert last night!  We had a blast!  We laughed.  We sang.  We danced.  It was wonderful!  What a fun evening!  Brad was amazing!  And he even gave Kotten Kandy a high-five!  We also really enjoyed the warm-up bands - especially Dustin Lynch.  (Dustin had a great smile!)

I discovered that Brad Paisley is the guy who sings the
song Kiara and I laughed at on the radio over 2 years ago:
I'd Like To Check You For Ticks
This song is super stupid... but funny.
Waiting for the concert!
Getting excited!
I love this guy!
Between performances we got a little silly....
I love my crazy family!
We REALLY missed Kiara.
We actually had an extra ticket for her, but....
And speaking of fun... We got a snow day on Wednesday.
I love Amy's property...  And I loved the sun peaking through on this pic.
It was nice to have a break from my job.  I've been working a LOT!  And I was able to catch up on some housework, etc.  Licorice and Banana Cream Pie used the occasion to build a snow man!  I thought he turned out cute!
Licorice and Banana Cream Pie starting...
I love these boys!
And I love Mr. Snowman...  His life span was only a day though.  :-(

SPRING?

Yesterday I snapped this photo of beautiful, yellow daffodils around the Shelbyville statue...
Today I took this picture of my backyard.
Can you believe today is the first day of Spring?
And speaking of spring...  Jelly Bean and Apple Jacks really enjoyed the good weather (yesterday) in my tree.
And Kiara and Cody got haircuts.
And my baby girl has been spending a lot of time with these two dogs, and doing her schoolwork for Pathway.

And Kiara finished crocheting a hat.
And I finished reading a really good book:  The Once and Future King by T.H. White
I really enjoyed this version of the King Arthur story.  It is by far one of my favorites.  It is actually several books in one: The Sword and the Stone, The Queen of Air and Darkness, The Ill-Made Knight, The Candle in the Wind and The Book of Merlin.  And I definitely recognized the source for Disney's The Sword and the Stone animated movie and Broadway's musical Camelot.  But this book is good on it's own merits!
This book is a book about being human.  It is about misery and joy that comes with being human.  This book is about innocence and learning - surrounded by love, nurture and nature.  This book is about war and tragedy - morality and consequences.  This book is about philosophy and governments.  It deals with simplistic ideas as well as very difficult moral problems.  It's not an easy book to read, but if you love Arthur as much as I do, this book will make you love him even more!

FIND JOY...

I have been MIA for the past two weeks... because I have been working about 50 hours per week.  I love blogging... but I haven't had a moment in which to do it.  So I'm excited to be "back!"  I'm still working like crazy, and I'll try to keep posting.
My dad turned 73 this year!  He is one of my heroes!  And I love and miss him.  My sister and I got him a gift card to IHOP and a new t-shirt.  His latest saying is that he doesn't buy green bananas anymore - hence: #nogreenbananas.  Hee hee hee!
My hero!
My dad!
My "boy" is growing up way too fast.  Look at the snowman he made:
Cody
And Kiara got a really cute haircut:
Isn't she beautiful?!
These two pictures made me smile this week:
Lemonbalm and Raisin
Aren't they adorable?!
And isn't Kotten Kandy gorgeous?!
She's so wonderful - inside and out!
And here are a few pictures that I never got around to posting from Kiara and Cody's engagement pictures:
Such funny kids!
