EASTER DAY

Key Lime Pie
Kotten Kandy
Lollipop
We had a beautiful Easter celebration with our Kentucky family!  I took over 200 pictures of some of my favorite kids and people.  I'll be nice and only share a few....
BFFs/Family:  The Bettenhausens
Juice
Nuts
Marmalade
Apple Pie
Jelly Bean
Raisin
Love these two crazy boys...
Take what pictures you can with Jelly Bean...
Luckily he was in a good mood on Sunday!
First:  I took family pictures of the Bettenhausens.  I took a LOT of pictures, but inevitably there is someone blinking or making a silly face in every one of them.  This one turned out pretty good though!  I sure love this awesome family!!!!!!!
We had a beautiful dinner...  And started by telling the Easter story.  Everyone read a part of it before we feasted on ham and scalloped potatoes and deviled eggs and rolls and squash casserole.  YUM!
Playing Easter Bunny....
Who will find this HIGH hidden egg?
This one is hidden for Jelly Bean...
One is NEVER too old to hunt for Easter eggs....
Nuts loves his egg hunts!
Marmalade at the beginning....  Her basket was FILLED by the end.
Apple Pie went to high places for his hunt....
"Amazing!  Look how many I found!"
Raisin enjoyed the eggs too!
"Dad Gum It!"  Jelly Bean dropped his basket...
But Kotten Kandy helped him pick up the eggs.
Then Key Lime Pie, Kotten Kandy and Lollipop hid eggs with Amy for the kids to find.  Easter egg hunts are so much fun!
Then we visited and had a great time!  I am including a lot of miscellaneous photos because they are too cute:
Raisin and Scott bonding!
Look closely... see the plane?!
Lollipop enjoying the sunshine and the plane.
Kotten Kandy enjoying the grass.
Key Lime Pie enjoys blue Easter eggs filled with chocolate.

I love this picture of Mark and Amy.
They are a great couple and even better friends/family!
Key Lime Pie loves pictures with her dad....
Happy Easter!!!!  And Happy Spring!!!!

ZOO VOLUNTEERS, WOMEN'S BROADCAST, PROM FOR LOLLIPOP AND EASTER!!!!

Key Lime Pie - Lollipop - Kotten Kandy
Happy Easter Weekend!  I want to share with the world my testimony - that Jesus Christ lives!  I'm grateful for His sacrifice!  I'm grateful for his willingness to lie down His life so that we ALL might live again!  I love this special holiday!
Beautiful Key Lime Pie
Gorgeous Lollipop
Exquisite Kotten Kandy
I love it also because I love any excuse to celebrate with my beautiful family...  These three girls looked especially pretty in their matching Easter skirts!
This weekend has been a crazy, busy one.  But it has been really fun!  It started with the party on Friday night.  The kids had so much fun!  They are still talking about it!
Saturday  morning, Lollipop, Kotten Kandy and Apple Jacks went to the Zoo to volunteer for the Easter celebration.  They ran a booth where the kids got to run through an obstacle course with an egg on their head.  They had a lot of fun!

Sisters!
Saturday night, Lollipop went to her high school Prom.  She had a great time with her friends... and looked gorgeous!  The excitement came at the end of the night when the police were pulling over random people to check for alcohol.  Of course, Lollipop and her friends were good girls!  But it was exciting non-the-less.  Lollipop wished she had enough courage to ask for a selfie with the police officer... but she chickened out.
While Lollipop was dancing, Key Lime Pie, Kotten Kandy and I joined Amy, Marmalade, Sheila and Rice Krispie Treat for the General Women's Broadcast live from Salt Lake City.  It was AWESOME!  We started the evening at the local Chinese buffet.  It was delicious!  And then we went to the Church to watch the program with other women in our ward.  The treats were yummy!  And the messages that were shared were inspired!  I love that my daughters love General Conference!  And this special meeting for women is one of our favorites to kick off the special event that happens twice a year!  Yea, for General Conference!  Yea, for inspired leaders!  Yea, for latter-day prophets!

Sweets for the already Sweet!
I REALLY LOVE these girls!!!!
Easter is always fun to celebrate too.  Check out the girls' Easter baskets:
They were especially excited about their books.  The Easter Bunny spent a lot of time making sure she got the "perfect" book for each member of the family!  I think she succeeded....
Key Lime Pie has been wanting to read Lindsey Stirling's autobiography!
She was thrilled to get this book!
I've now learned useless facts about about Lindsey's biggest fan, Phelba and that Lindsey has a weird reading disorder called cross dominance.
Lollipop's book is called "Flight."
She is also shouting out facts about airplanes, including that there are over 4 million moving parts on an airplane.  Who knew?  She is overjoyed to be reading about such a soaring subject....
Kotten Kandy had already read both of her classic novels.  But she loves learning more about them.  The Giver and Fahrenheit 451 are two of her favorite books... and now she owns them.
