COUNTING MY BLESSINGS

The Whole Family Together!
What a wonderful week we have been blessed to spend in St. George with Mom and Dad DeGooyer!  Thanksgiving was delicious!  Seeing Stacey was wonderful!  And going to the decorated temple was beautiful!  But mostly, my blessings are my family!  I'm sooooo grateful for each one of them and the unique contributions they provide in our family!  (And I'm glad they let me take lots of pictures today in our church clothes.)
For Thanksgiving we were excited to discover that our spoons were see-through....
It was wonderful to see Stacey!
Scott (and all of us) really do love this marvelous woman!

Love my children!
I am soooooooooo grateful for mom and dad DeGooyer!
They are such role models in our lives!
I'm grateful for the heritage they give their grandchildren!
52 years of love!
Glad for their "long line of love!"
Guess what?!
Dad DeGooyer painted these butterflies and
this beehive.  Who knew he was so talented?
And who knew my son is so funny!
Counting my blessings... and I'm truly blessed!

THE GOBBLER

This year we decided to try something new.  It was so much fun, it'll probably become a tradition.  We ran a 5K.  It was fun to be together, early, and exercise together!

There was a "I'm thankful for..." poster.
I had to express my gratitude for my grandson!
So much fun!

OH BOY!!!

I'm having a grandson!!!
William Conrad Spencer Lillywhite is due May 6th!

HODGEPODGE POST

Sooooooooooo  I haven't blogged in weeks because my family is participating in NaNoWriMo.  It's our 8th year of writing!  And we love this silly, November tradition!  Even though it takes lots of time to write 1600+ words a day for the entire month.
Let me go back in time a lot... and I apologize for this mishmash, schizophrenic, lengthy post:
Halloween was super fun!  Like always!  And Scott carved this amazing pumpkin with his work logo.  He's sooooo talented!
And I couldn't be prouder of my Idaho kids who dressed up too!  And I love their activities: they Trick-or-Treated in reverse - they GAVE candy to the doors they knocked on.  I love these two crazy, married kids!
So our weather has been nuts in Kentucky.  We had a LOT of rain.  I couldn't believe how high the water was on our walking route:
And then we had a BEAUTIFUL, yet cold ice-storm.  It lasted only half a day:
Katia got to vote in this election!  We have an awesome next door neighbor who volunteered at the polls.  He made her feel so excited about voting!  We love doing our civic duty!
And we love our missionaries!  All of them are wonderful!  We will miss Sister Wiederhold, "our German sister missionary!"  And, yes, I do drink Diet Coke at church sometimes.  Don't judge!  But at least I'm color-coordinated!
And we are excited to get to know our new sister:
Scott and his crew participated in a Escape Room!  They had a blast!
Guess what?!  I LOVE my single adults!  We had a thanksgiving dinner on Sunday with them.  I'm soooooo glad to call all of these amazing kids "Mine!"
And Kiara and Cody couldn't wait until after Thanksgiving to decorate their home:
Zane came to visit for about 3 hours!  I love my brother!  I'm glad I got to get a hug in!
Last night, we broke bread for Thanksgiving!  I love our family!  And I love seeing Mom and Dad DeGooyer!  They are the bestest!
And miscellaneous photos for your enjoyment:
Katia thought we would look good in her Harry Potter hats...
I love these adorable kids!
Apple Pie - Jelly Bean - Raisin
Why are they so cute?!
And those smiles!?!  I LOVE IT!!!
Lemondrop is adorable too!!!
