FUN FOURTH

We really had a fun, laid-back celebration of our nation's birth! (Including the time Scott and Kotten Kandy stole my camera and took the above selfies... They are so funny!)
Of course we BBQed hamburgers, complete with corn on the cob, potato salad, baked beans, watermelon, etc. etc. etc. YUM!

Kiara had a great day too... despite being so far away from us! We sure missed her! And we love her! But we're grateful she still loves her holidays and traditions! She and her friends died their hair: red, white and blue - for the occasion! And they BBQed ribs!

A SNAPSHOT INTO OUR WEEK

Happy Fourth of July! We LOVE Independence Day!

I'll post more about our celebrations tomorrow....
Today I want to give you a few "snapshots" into our every day life this past week....

Kotten Kandy and Karmel decided they needed to "try out" the new carpet...

Scott loves it too! We all do!

Joel was working on reading with his mom. He came to a part that he felt was to difficult, so he put these pipe cleaners on his head and said, "This is the time out crown of not learning letters!"

Amy and I decided we need time out crowns too! Amy wants one for not doing laundry. I asked Joel for a yellow "time out crown for not cooking dinner..." This is what he made me:

This girl loves to sleep. Which one you ask? BOTH!

We decided to spontaneously kidnap Amy and her two youngest kids to go to Red Robin...

And we got to skype Lollipop today! We sure do miss our German daughter!

We love that girl! She's doing well! And promises another German update in a week!

We had another gospel discussion/Sunday dinner with some of our favorite people! And during the evening, Key Lime Pie face-timed. Everyone wanted to talk to her and this happened:

I love it when my daughters are happy. And Kiara is never more happy than when she's participating in fun activities with good friends! She enjoyed ice-skating and eating Taco Bell with her friends last night.

We got new carpet! So glad to be rid of some of the blue stuff.... I LOVE it! Of course, in order to get new carpet, we had to create a mess - we have way too much stuff! But I love the final product! Now I gotta move everything back. Anyone wanna help?!

GJ sent me a bunch of memories this week. It was a wonderful, nostalgic trip down memory lane. I miss my BABY girls! They have turned into lovely young women... but I miss my babies. Aren't they adorable?!
