IDAHO SOUPS AND SWEATERS

Scott and I decided to continue our Soups and Sweaters tradition this year by hosting at my father's home.  Since we don't know a lot of people in Idaho yet... we mostly invited family.  And we even had a few surprise visits from some college students: Katia, Skylar, Cole, Shanae and Yurae.  (We expected Kiara, Cody and Skittles.)  The soup was delicious!  The smores were fun!  The company was perfect!  I took TONS of photos... and spent the past 2 hours trying to narrow them down.  I wanted to make sure everyone who attended was pictured at least once.  It was not an easy job.  But enjoy all these fun pictures on a beautiful, autumn night.

The Harvest Moon really set the stage.

Here's my poem in tribute to the gorgeous singing moon:

A HARVEST MOON

An abundance of light
Pierces the evening sky.
A quiet, peaceful night –

The sun whispers goodbye
Leaves transform playfully
A crisp breeze starts to sigh

Summer and fall agree:
Forging a Harvest Moon
A Singing Moon to see.

Eventide sings a tune
Making autumn a delight
Autumn blessings come soon!
