ONE DOES NOT SIMPLY WALK INTO MORDOR...

But we did!  Because we don't just take family walks... we create family events.  We participated in a 5K event for ONLY our family.  It makes taking walks together much more exciting.  Of course, Cody actually ran!  He "won!"  The rest of us enjoyed the early morning air, the flowers, the coolness of the shade and the conversation.  I love our crazy family!
6 AM - But we're ready... and smiling.

Our shirts:  Middle Earth's Annual Mordor Fun Run
The Adorable Lillywhites!
Skittle LOVES the fountain!
His mama always lets him touch the water!
Other fun "events" at our house: Sundays have turned into a celebration of taste!  Scott and Kiara have been making mini-bundt cakes every Sabbath.  YUMMMMMMM!  We've had red velvet, lemon cake, white cake, chocolate peanut-butter, and tonight was strawberry cake!  All our delicious!  I have been trying to limit myself to just one.  It's a hard thing to do.
These are cookies and cream and Oreo bundt cakes
Our garden has been kinda fun this year.  We've made lots of zucchini bread, zucchini chips, cucumbers, salads, etc.  And our blackberries made delicious blackberry cobbler and I made blackberry jam that was to die for.  Scott is really proud of his pumpkin.
Small harvest... and I pick at least a bucket full every other day!
Scott is so happy about his pumpkin!
One of the ways we have been trying to minister and love those around us during this crazy quarantine/COVID stuff is by taking care of our missionaries.  I love the sisters who serve in our YSA branch.  We got to take them out to Claudia Sanders for dinner the other night.  It was, oh, so delicious!  Then we took them homemade rolls and dandelion jelly yesterday.  (We also took jelly and rolls to the Elders in Kiara's ward and the Sisters who are next door neighbors with our kiddos.)  We love the missionaries!

These flowers on our bush make me so happy!
And these flowers on our Mordor walk made me smile!
Our grandson is ADORABLE!
Skittle's feasting on the Word!
Skittles feasting on eggs, cheese and rice!
Beware!  Only 15 years until he's driving!
Grandma was so excited to buy a red wagon for her grandkids.
He wasn't sure he liked it at first.
But I think he does now!
Aunt GJ would be proud!  Skittle loves his farm toy and books!
While I was cutting tubes, Skittle spent over 25 minutes trying to keep the tubes from falling out of the holes in the car...
He finally succeeded.
He's got great eye-hand coordination and a long attention span!
I think he must be the smartest, and cutest guy around... but I'm probably biased!
Have a wonderful week!

  1. I love the crazy DeGooyers. Maybe you should start selling the tubes you cut for toys.
